Account Manager

The Account Manager serves as the primary communication link between the American Rheumatology Network (ARN) and assigned clients across a variety of regions. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with independent Rheumatology medical practices, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention. The Account Manager will work closely with internal teams, industry partners, and practice leadership to deliver value, support contract performance, and drive revenue growth through strategic account management.

  • Compensation: Base salary range of $55,000 – $65,000 plus 15% additional bonus potential based on performance

Account Manager Job Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned practices, building strong relationships with physicians, practice administrators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their business needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with products and services.
  • Conduct and/or participate in quarterly business reviews, providing contract performance metrics, rebate maximization strategies, and economic impact analyses.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to inform product, service, and process improvements.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services, technology solutions, or products to existing clients.
  • Support members in adopting and utilizing ARN technology platforms and value-added services.

Operational & Event Support

  • Represent ARN at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote services and strengthen partner relationships.
  • Work with wholesalers, pharmaceutical companies, and other industry partners to maximize value for members.

Other Duties

  • Provide support and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Director of Sales.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in account management, sales, or client services; healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all organizational levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proven ability to understand and address client needs.
  • Analytical skills to interpret contract metrics and develop strategies for performance improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently within established procedures
  • A firm understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • Travel up to 20%
