American Rheumatology Network (ARN) is seeking an Events & Marketing Specialist to join its fast-growing, high-performing team. The Events & Marketing Specialist will plan and organize ARN’s biannual conferences as well as support the Marketing Director in executing year-round marketing initiatives.   • Compensation: Base salary of $54,000-$64,000, plus 15% additional bonus potential based on performance

Event & Marketing Specialist Job Responsibilities:

Events & Hospitality

  • Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of ARN’s biannual summit conferences, including venue sourcing, marketing, vendor/exhibitor/attendee/speaker communication and management, registration, housing, travel, accounting, and onsite coordination.
  • Design, order, and print all on-site marketing materials for ARN summits.
  • Facilitate ARN’s presence and exhibition at external conferences, including branding maintenance, marketing, and communications.

Marketing

  • Support the Marketing Director with all internal and external marketing and communication efforts.
  • Develop and disseminate content and graphics for ARN’s social media platforms.
  • Conduct research to analyze the competitive landscape, market trends, and customer behavior and prepare reports on research for leadership and the Marketing Director.

Other

  • Other duties as assigned by leadership and the Marketing Director
  • This position will be remote with travel expectations up to 15%
  • Work hours will include evenings and weekends during the Summits and most virtual events.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, event planning, event management, hospitality management, business administration, or closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in planning and executing medium to large-scale events.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions. Budget management and reconciliation experience is required.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize responsibilities, problem solve, manage multiple concurrent projects, and meet competing deadlines.
  • Takes initiative and is a self-starter.
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to remain composed and professional in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with healthcare or a healthcare-related field.
  • Cvent Certified and/or previous experience with CVent.
  • Experience hosting virtual events via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and/or GoTo Webinar.
  • Experience with a CRM platform.
  • Experience with Constant Contact or other email marketing platforms like Mail Chimp.
