American Rheumatology Network (ARN) is seeking a Service Account Coordinator to join its fast-growing, high-performing team. The Service Account Coordinator will handle patient account receivable services as well as assist with general Services Organization duties. All tasks related to this position are to be done in a manner consistent with ARN’s philosophy, mission, and vision.

Service Account Coordinator

  • Compensation: Base salary of $45,000-$50,000 plus 15% additional bonus potential based on performance

Service Account Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

Patient Accounts Receivable (A/R)

  • Initiates follow-up phone calls on all necessary accounts including patient, provider, practice and payer.
  • Maintains patient (A/R) queues at a reasonable age-based date as defined by management.
  • Collects and posts payments to patient accounts.
  • Processes patient statements.
  • Answers all incoming patient billing calls.
  • Ensures proper follow-up on patient collection accounts and submits bad debt to the proper collection agency.

Prior Authorization

  • Utilize technology solutions to track all new orders and reauthorizations.
  • Triage and follow-up to ensure timely processing.

American Rheumatology Services (ARS) Support

  • Assists with the implementation process for Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
  • Supports the Service Account leads in the execution of ongoing contracted deliverables.
  • Maintains professionalism and accountability to provide white-glove customer experiences.
  • Other duties as directed by the Chief Operating Officer.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the medical field
  • Knowledge of the medical revenue cycle, prior authorization, and scheduling
  • Experience with EMR/EHR software, in particular, eClinicalWorks and NextGen
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively
  • Work independently within established procedures
  • A firm understanding of HIPAA regulations
