American Rheumatology Network (ARN) is seeking an Events & Marketing Specialist to join its fast-growing, high-performing team. The Events & Marketing Specialist will plan and organize ARN’s biannual conferences as well as support the Marketing Director in executing year-round marketing initiatives. - Compensation: Base salary of $54,000-$64,000, plus 15% additional bonus potential based on performance

Event & Marketing Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Events & Hospitality
- Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of ARN’s biannual summit conferences, including venue sourcing, marketing, vendor/exhibitor/attendee/speaker communication and management, registration, housing, travel, accounting, and onsite coordination.
- Design, order, and print all on-site marketing materials for ARN summits.
- Facilitate ARN’s presence and exhibition at external conferences, including branding maintenance, marketing, and communications.
Marketing
- Support the Marketing Director with all internal and external marketing and communication efforts.
- Develop and disseminate content and graphics for ARN’s social media platforms.
- Conduct research to analyze the competitive landscape, market trends, and customer behavior and prepare reports on research for leadership and the Marketing Director.
Other
- Other duties as assigned by leadership and the Marketing Director
- This position will be remote with travel expectations up to 15%
- Work hours will include evenings and weekends during the Summits and most virtual events.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, event planning, event management, hospitality management, business administration, or closely related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in planning and executing medium to large-scale events.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions. Budget management and reconciliation experience is required.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize responsibilities, problem solve, manage multiple concurrent projects, and meet competing deadlines.
- Takes initiative and is a self-starter.
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Ability to remain composed and professional in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with healthcare or a healthcare-related field.
- Cvent Certified and/or previous experience with CVent.
- Experience hosting virtual events via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and/or GoTo Webinar.
- Experience with a CRM platform.
- Experience with Constant Contact or other email marketing platforms like Mail Chimp.
