American Rheumatology Network (ARN) is seeking a Finance + Data Analyst to join its fast-growing, high-performing team. The Finance + Data Analyst will be responsible for accounting and finance monthly tasks as well as supporting ad hoc data analysis and modeling. • Compensation: Base salary of $66,000-$71,000, plus 15% additional bonus potential based on performance

Finance + Data Analyst Job Responsibilities:

Finance/Accounting (65%)

• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Ensures outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due
• Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports using company-specific accounting software
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Maintains historical records of all invoices, reports and receipts by saving documents properly on the network
• Confirms subcontractor billed working hours, bonuses, and projects
• Completes weekly treasury report
• Assists with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close processes
• Prepares reporting for financial drivers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Analyzes financial data and provides forecasting support

Data (35%)

• Designs and creates meaningful data visualizations to report and communicates insights
• Collects and assimilates data from multiple sources, both internal and external
• Performs exploratory analysis to identify patterns and insights in the data
• Works with and presents analytics to clients or stakeholders
• Supports data integrations, cleansing and quality solutions
• Creates and maintains data dictionaries and other forms of metadata
• Automates data processes to ensure timeliness, accuracy and scalability

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Science
• Proficiency using the following tools: QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, Stripe, and Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
• Willingness to collaborate and wear additional hats as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of relational databases or data lakes
• Understanding of Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Entry level experience with SQL or other coding syntax
